Get to Know Me

Hi! I am Kaitlyn, a communications and media student with a passion for graphic design, visual storytelling, and creating engaging content across digital and print platforms. I blend hands-on, 3D creative techniques with digital media to craft designs that capture attention and inspire. Inspired by fashion magazines and editorial design, I focus on layout, texture, and strategic storytelling to elevate projects and produce cross-platform content that drives engagement.

In My Free Time…

I love dancing! With no prior experience, I began my dance journey by joining IASA (Indian American Student Association) in high school. Over the course of four years, I learned various dance styles, including Bollywood, Bhangra, and South. Now in university, I dance with VeryUs, an Asian pop dance group focused on uplifting underrepresented Asian artists! I’ve always loved performing in front of a big crowd, and each winter semester we put on 8+ shows, which is always so fun. I have had the opportunity to perform at the two biggest dance shows at the University of Michigan: DanceMix and GenAPA! Outside of dance, I enjoy exploring cute cafés, trying new foods and desserts, and I’m always a sucker for a good romance drama.

Scrapbooking!

By repurposing random items like shopping bags, receipts, and other miscellaneous materials, I am able to let my creativity flow and embrace the design process without overthinking or pressure. I love trusting that the end result will come together beautifully, and I follow my instinct, taping and gluing whatever comes to mind.
